In the midst of the fog of memory loss, now more than ever is the need to extend our hand of touch both in the physical and emotional realm to support that extraordinary person in our life. Dementia is such a challenging journey for not just those living with the condition but those around them.

One of the best ways to stretch this hand is by giving gifts; one with dementia would welcome your comfort and availability above everything; nevertheless, there are still some gifts we can get them to make them understand that although we are unavoidably absent, we wish them nothing but the best.
Across this gift guide, I try to consider the different experiences of people who have been through the yoke of dementia – you rarely find very similar dementia experiences, so I can’t offer one-size-fits-all gifts. Still, I can give some suggestions to consider.

While his memory is foggy, we will try as much as possible to help him treasure those incredible memories, those beautiful moments that always put a smile on his face. This can be attempted by getting him a lovely photo album filled with those unique memories.

You don’t have to get a recipe book per se, the goal here is to surround your dear loved one with some unique activity, and cooking is one of those memories.
An excellent recipe book is an ideal gift for her, get some of her loved ones around; a ,and you all should fix something in the kitchen together.
