There’s a lot at play if you decide to get a gift for your dissertation committee; on the one hand, you appreciate them for the countless hours they’ve spent reviewing and guiding you toward the success of your doctorate, and it shows how much you recognize the time they’ve spent ensuring you pass all the criteria your institution demands. 

On the other hand, getting gifts for your dissertation committee might come off as a bribe; yes, most may see it like you are soliciting a favor from them.
